After visiting Tucson off and on for about 10 years I moved to the city in 2019. When I lived in Los Angeles–my home for most of my adult life–I had a blog, LACityPix, to show images of little-known areas and people in Los Angeles as well as popular locations.
Now that I am in Tucson I plan to do something similar to capture the Old Pueblo’s unique spirit: part Old West, part artist colony, part outdoor hikers and bikers, part escapees from capitalism, plus vacant lots filled with creosote, mesquites and the occasional saguaro. Oh, yes…then there are the retirees like me.
My career back when I worked full time was as a writer for corporations. To that I have added a camera and a smart phone camera to help you see what I saw around the city and elsewhere in Southern Arizona.
