Republican headquarters Tucson

Gunshots? Rocks? What broke the windows?

Sometime after the election last November I noticed that the Pima County Republican headquarters had broken windows. I was on my way to the Trek store in that strip mall and didn’t have a camera with me. By the time I got home I had forgotten all about the windows.

Well, I was back there this week and surprised to see that the windows were still broken. Why haven’t they been repaired?

So I walked closer and took a look and still couldn’t figure out if they were gunshots or the result of some angry person hurling rocks at the headquarters. There are no holes through the glass at the center.

I was also surprised that it was the Republican headquarters that got hit, rather than the Democrats or some social justice group or the other.

Just who was that angry with the Republicans?

Arizona has historically been a flaming red state, but with the influx of newcomers and younger people, it is turning bluer. While our Governor and the legislature are Republican, Tucson has a woman and Democrat, Regina Romero, for our Mayor.

So the damaged windows remain another Tucson mystery…

Two giant corporations announced that they are setting up huge new facilities in Arizona. Intel will add a fabrication plant in Chandler. Amazon plans to add a sortation center in Tucson . Both companies already have large facilities in Arizona.
